Rover K series hesitation and/or power loss common fault

This common problem with the Rover K series engine is normally caused by the engine ECU, a fault code of “MAP sensor high/low voltage” may be present when performing diagnostic checks. This fault is almost invariably the fault of the MAP sensor contained within the ECU, the whole ECU must be replaced to cure this problem. It is worth checking the MAP sensor pipe first though as it may be this pipe that’s blocked and causing the same problem. The MAP sensor pipe is the one that runs from the back of the manifold to the ECU.
